Over the form of his eight years in office, Barack Obama spent 217 days abroad, making 52 international trips to 58 dissimilar countries. In a high-profile issue in 2016, he visited Japan's Hiroshima Memorial, and met with survivors of the atomic flop dropped on that city in 1945.

He too traveled to Kenya, where his father was from, and Ethiopia, where he spoke nigh human rights abuses against the LGBTQ community.
